Another Busy Year at Lubricants SW!
As the South West’s leading premier lubrication equipment specialists, we feel incredibly fortunate, despite the downturn in the economic climate that we have still had a very busy year. At the beginning of 2022 this wasn’t expected, but in fact, our turnover has considerably increased compared to 2021. We continue to see our loyal clients return, time and time again, for which we are thankful.
Our website enquiries continue to go from strength to strength. We are receiving approximately 2-3 enquiries a week, from which, the majority are converting into sales. We have made good progress with certain sectors, mainly pharmaceutical, but also foodgrade/foodsafe lubricants. Sales in these sectors are making good traction. We have also seen sales from the mining sector, which we have been involved in for a few years now and have continued to work with South Crofty mine in Redruth. In addition, we also continue to see sales from lithium production plants.
Monitoring Food Safe Lubricants in the Manufacturing Process – Case Study
We were recently approached by a large food manufacturing company in Plymouth that had a lubrication wastage issue. A solution was found, and the system was installed at the plant successfully. The system is now transmitting the correct volumes from the dispensers and the team can monitor these levels at any time, therefore reducing costs, wasted time and loss of stock. More information can be found in the food safe lubricants case study.
Our Commitment to The RRT Charity
Every year, over the past few years, we remain committed to The RRT Charity (Rapid Relief Team), and this year was no exception. In 2002, we again donated £9,000 to this well-deserving charity, which does so much good for communities in need. As a charity they have donated over 2.1m meals to Ukraine. So far over 100 lorries have been packed with food boxes (all by volunteers) and transported to Ukraine. Last year, The RRT provided 2,000 bottles of water for St Luke’s Hospice events in Plymouth. Managing Director, Rob Greeno, is the local team leader for the RRT. He was part of the team that handed out meals to the emergency services at the Roadford Lakes tragedy. They have also provided snack packs to the ambulance service crews in the current crisis and breakfast for underprivileged school children.
This is a charity very close to our hearts and as such, we have a trailer set up, with a kit, onsite and ready to go.
New for 2023
We hope this year continues to be even more successful and we thank you again for all your continued support. We are hoping to secure more contracts going forward, including from a local tungsten mine in the not-so-distant future. Watch this space!
